Street Games 2008 will take place during the April school break at Jackie Robinson Park in northern Manhattan. Kids, teens, and their parents will have the chance to learn and play “old school” games like:

  • Stick Ball
  • Box Ball
  • Skully
  • Hopscotch
  • Lemon Twist
  • Jacks
  • Double-Dutch
  • Red Light, Green Light

For the more serious gamers, Street Games will feature live demonstrations from professional organizations such as the New York Emperor’s Stickball League.

Street Games is much more than just the games! We will feature musical performances by some of our favorite bands and artists from the 60s and 70s to recreate those timeless grooves and a DJ scratch contest for a current take on those same classic songs. Street Games will also offer hot dogs, popcorn, and classic candies and snacks to satisfy that gaming appetite!
